Maggie Peterson, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University in 2019 and has since dedicated her practice to supporting clients through trauma healing, identity exploration, and emotional growth.

Maggie is formally trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective treatment for trauma and distressing life experiences. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed techniques to help clients build practical coping skills, increase emotional regulation, and develop healthier thinking patterns.

Her clinical interests include working with the LGBTQIA+ community, providing a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore identity, relationships, and mental health. Maggie is passionate about trauma-informed care and approaches each client with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect for their lived experience. She strives to foster a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward healing and personal transformation.
